Lumigator Privacy Notice

This privacy notice applies to Lumigator, locally-installed software that allows developers to compare the effectiveness of artificial intelligence (AI) based large language models (LLMs) (“Lumigator”) for their use case. Lumigator is owned and licensed by MZL.AI, PBC (referred to herein as “we,” “us,” “our,” or “Mozilla AI”).
This privacy notice explains what information Lumigator collects, shares, and processes, and why. Your use of Lumigator constitutes your acceptance of this privacy notice.
Information We Collect.
We may collect the following information directly from you:
Communications. When you contact us in connection with Lumigator, we may collect personal information, such as your username, name, email address, or phone number, as well as any other personal information you may provide to us.
Unless you opt out of collection, we also automatically receive certain information when you use Lumigator:
Technical data. We collect and use technical data to improve the performance, stability, and security of Lumigator, including information about your device, including device type, screen resolution, and operating system and version; browser information, such as browser type and settings; installed web technologies; Lumigator version; language settings, and event information, such as errors or crashes.
Crash Reports. We collect information related to crashes, including technical details of stack traces, error messages and exception types, HTTP request failures, JavaScript errors, backend error logs, performance bottlenecks, and unresponsive scripts or browser crashes.
Interaction data. We receive data about use of Lumigator to better understand usage, as well as to add, improve, or remove certain features: e.g., page visits and navigation paths, time spent on each page or section, clicks on major UI elements (buttons, links, forms), and load times for different sections of the app.
Location data. We process IP addresses for crash report data and to improve the performance, stability, and security of Lumigator. IP addresses are automatically deleted after 30 days.
Collection technologies. We may use cookies and other similar technologies to collect the above data.
Information We Share.
We use third parties to collect the data described above, and have contracted with these companies requiring them to protect your information (Third-Party Services):
Functional Software, Inc. d/b/a Sentry (“Sentry”): We use Sentry for our crash reporting services, which includes processing IP addresses locally. We’ve configured the service to delete the IP addresses and not retain them.
Innocraft (Matomo): We use Matomo to collect data, which includes processing your IP addresses. We have configured the service to retain an obscured version of your IP address.
Children
Lumigator is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age we can process your information without parental consent in your province or country), and we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. If we obtain actual knowledge that we’ve collected personal information from a child under the age of 13 (or minimum age of consent in your province or country), we will delete that information as soon as possible, unless we have a legal obligation to keep it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us without your consent, you may contact us as described in “How to Contact Us” below.

To make requests regarding your personal information, please contact us through our Data Subject Access Request Portal. We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their rights in accordance with applicable laws.

Our Privacy Notice describes the purposes for which we process information about you and the categories of information we process. We do not sell personal data.

Legitimate interests. As described in this Privacy Notice, we receive technical and interaction data of users, which may include IP addresses, to improve the performance, security and reliability of Lumigator, and log and address technical problems.
Consent. Where we ask for your consent to process your information, you can always withdraw this consent. You may withdraw your consent within Lumigator by navigating to the settings page and turning off data collection.
